Each cup is made by hand with love ensuring its own unique character. The internal glaze is applied by Frank in a pouring technique that first fills the cup followed by a twirl and a spin of the wrist pouring it out. The outside is applied in a the same freehand pour and spin technique creating the over lapping colour. With the top of the lip left raw. This technique ensures each piece is same, but different.
CARE
Frank Void vessels are designed and created to live in a commercial environment and will survive the microwave, dishwasher or oven. But like all things loved and cherished best practice would be to treat with care and hand wash for longevity.
All surfaces are sealed on your Frank Void vessel either with glaze that you can see or the raw clay surface has been sealed with a food safe sealer that repels liquids greatly minimising staining.
INDIVIDUALITY
Frank Void vessels are individually handmade by Frank with love and intent to be as perfect as the original design intended. But each will vary slightly with makers marks unique to each piece, and the slightly different path each takes on its evolution from the custom mix of clay to firing and glazing.
This we celebrate it is the personality traits of your unique piece of art.
Every piece starts as a ball of clay weighed to specific number, this is consistent.
Frank Void makes to width, tolerances will be within +/- 5mm.
The digital image of this product represented online is shot to represent the vessel colour and tone as close as possible. It will be slightly different in real life, due to the magic of camera, digital, screens, lighting and my poor eyes.
