The Potters Table Cup - Kick Handle
The hero of the range reimagined: The brief to each of the 5 potters was a range of tableware each using the same clay body and the same glaze. Frank VOid was allocated drinking vessels. So a reimagined hero was the starting point.
The Kick Handle Cup is a spin from the original Art Series Cup succumbing to demand for a handle and the resistance of FRANK to stick a standard on…so liking the aesthetic of test tiles the idea was right there to adjust and stick one of those on, BAM new handle - nice aesthetic, original unique look.
The Kick Handle works as per a traditional handle to keep the heat off your fingers.While it maintains the same thickness of base as the Art Series Cup the walls hold a little more weight for heat retention/protection.

OUTSIDE: Raw Dark Stoneware clay body* finish
INSIDE: Custom White Satin Glaze, as is the top rim/lip with a dribble.

Every kick handle cup is made by hand with love ensuring each has its own unique character. The glaze is applied by Frank with a pouring technique first filling the cup followed by a twirl and a spin of the wrist before pouring it out. The outside is then applied in a the same freehand pour and spin technique creating the over lapping colour. With the top of the lip left raw. This technique ensures each piece is same, but different.
CARE
Frank Void vessels are designed and created to live in a commercial environment they are both functional and food safe. They will survive the microwave, dishwasher or oven.
But best practice like all things loved and cherished would be to treat with care and hand wash for longevity.
All surfaces are sealed on your Frank Void vessel either with glaze that you can see or on the raw surface of the clay body has been sealed with a food safe sealer that repels water & other liquids, & greatly minimises the staining caused by fats, acids & alkalis.
Except for long last lisp sticks!! keep them away.

Each and every Frank void vessel is handmade by me, each will have makers marks unique to each piece. Frank weighs each body of clay and measures to width so tolerances will be within 5mm.
The image of this product is shot to represent the vessel colour and tone as close as possible. Though your screens will represent it slightly different.
